Kado is a conceptual gift kit designed to introduce Indonesia in a box.

Featuring three of the country's finest export products, this kit aims to share new flavors and possibilities with anyone who receives it.

I wanted the packaging to resemble a traditional Indonesian offering—thoughtful, intentional, and memorable. In Indonesian culture, introductions are experiences, not just exchanges.

To honor this, I named the kit Kado, which means "gift" in Bahasa Indonesia, signaling that this is a gift like no other.

Main Packaging ( The Set )

The face of this packaging reveals the person who carefully handpicks the items for the person to recieve.

Leaving details of the source of the coffee beans, to the purpose of the whole idea of this kit.

Secondary Packaging

The secondary packaging means to differentiate the items based on the contents and how the visual language carries around the information.

The illustrations of each contents are expanded in use to create a familiarity to the user on what they are about to use.

The color used on this secondary part comes from the original colors of the chosen content for the kit.

If the content change, so does the whole identity of it. So much so that the name of the items are translated into Bahasa Indonesia for the audience to learn.

Some parts of the secondary packaging will let you learn where and how the contents were made.

The translation to pronounciation aspect is considered as a learning moment for the recipient to notice.
